Two Sciencewise-funded projects win national awards at 2015 Westbourne 100
In February 2015, Westbourne Change Opinion announced their Change Opinion Awards long list of 100 for 2015. The awards are made for the best campaigns of the year.
Sciencewise-funded projects won nominations in the 'Engagement' category for two projects: the Longitude Prize 2014 (Nesta), and the Space Weather Public Dialogue (STFC):
• Longitude Prize 2014 was selected because "While the prize engaged the public and particularly its stakeholders in the scientific community by allowing anyone to enter the prize, importantly it engaged the wider public at the earliest stage ... From the start of the Prize it has engaged beyond the traditional scientific stakeholders"
• The Space Weather Public Dialogue was selected partly because "the findings of the dialogue were presented so that discussions could begin on future policy and future communications with regard to space weather".
