Sciencewise gives evidence to the Lords Committee Inquiry on GM Insects
On 13 October 2015, Sciencewise Executive Chair, Roland Jackson, appeared before the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee to give evidence to their Inquiry on GM Insects. The focus of the session was on public awareness and engagement, and on the lessons from the experience of earlier debates on GM crops.
Sciencewise also provided written evidence, which is available at http://data.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/committeeevidence.svc/evidencedocument/science-and-technology-lords-committee/genetically-modified-insects/written/21569.html. That evidence cites the Sciencewise review of previous public exercises around GM (see www.sciencewise-erc.org.uk/cms/assets/Uploads/Talking-about-GM.pdf)
Roland Jackson also published a blog on the background to, and implications of, the inquiry. See www.sciencewise-erc.org.uk/cms/where-next-for-gm-insects
