Community of Practice meeting: adapting to civil service reform
Jill Rutter audio presentation
Sciencewise’s online Community of Practice held its first face-to-face encounter on 19 September to explore the impact of the Civil Service reform agenda. Jill Rutter, from the Institute for Government presented the six key trends currently reshaping UK policy-making and provided some practical examples of how policy makers can prepare for this. She also highlighted how public dialogue fits into the bigger picture. The second half of the session focused on how to involve the public in policy. The meeting took place at the BIS Conference Centre in London’s Victoria Street and was open to all policy makers with an interest in the role of public dialogue in policy-making.
