Drop In for Dialogue

The Sciencewise ERC is holding monthly ‘drop in’ sessions to help policy makers carry out better, more appropriately timed dialogue with the public to assist them make better policy.  Every other session is held at Futurefocus, BIS and is open to all policy makers while others are held within specific departments. The sessions are an ideal opportunity to:

  • get specific advice from a Dialogue and Engagement Specialist (DES)
  • hear from others about their experiences 
  • learn from practitioners about current best practice in public dialogue.

Who are the sessions for?


These sessions have been designed specifically for those with a responsibility for, or involvement in, national science and technology policy making. This includes central Government and its agencies, and executive, advisory and Non Departmental Public Bodies. Drop in sessions are a safe environment in which to share experiences and challenges and discuss issues for potential dialogue.

The open sessions will be held on the 3rd Monday of every other month as follows:.

Where

The Drop in for Dialogue sessions will be held at Futurefocus. This is a purpose built resource within the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) which enables groups to create, strategise, listen and link to others.
